As the Eid Al Adha holidays draw to a close, there’s still time to experience one of Abu Dhabi’s most atmospheric festive programmes.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has unveiled an expanded Eid cultural celebration this year, welcoming residents and visitors with a packed schedule of activities.
If you’re planning a cultural, relaxed outing or looking for one final Eid activity before returning to routine, the mosque’s celebrations offer a memorable way to spend the long weekend.

Cultural Activities Across the Mosque Grounds
Visitors who explore the Mosque will be able to enjoy a variety of interactive experiences taking place throughout the grounds, with the programme offering heritage-inspired workshops, guided experiences, and family-friendly activities that reflect the traditions and spirit of Eid Al Adha.
In the evenings, the mosque’s atmosphere also becomes especially vibrant, with illuminated walkways and dedicated spaces encouraging visitors to discover more about Emirati and Islamic traditions in an engaging setting.
There is also the opportunity to be part of the spiritual “Sura” night tour. Operating from 10.00 PM, this expedition offers a unique opportunity to experience the mosque in a quieter and more reflective atmosphere after dark.
Explore Souq Al Jami & Evening Dining
Beyond the cultural programme itself, Souq Al Jami remains a major draw during the Eid break, with the underground destination hosting cafes, restaurants, and retail outlets, making it easy to turn the visit into a full evening experience.
Celebrations and activities are expected to take place across the next few days and evenings, with an opportunity to enjoy the mosque’s Eid programme before its conclusion.
