The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is returning this September, bringing six days of books and insightful conversation to the capital.
When and Where Is It Happening?
The 35th edition of the fair will run from 13- 18 September at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. It was originally planned for April but was subsequently moved to September following discussions with international partners and the UAE authorities.
What’s on the Agenda
Whilst of course the books remain at the heart of the experience, the fair is designed to explore much more than the printed page. The programme brings together speakers, cultural sessions covering a range of subjects, creating opportunities for visitors to hear different perspectives and engage with the wider world of publishing.
There will also be a strong focus on the changing nature of storytelling, with the fair embracing the appeal of audio and exploring interactive forms of media.
A Celebration of Ideas
At its core, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is about bringing people together through knowledge and literature, creating a space for publishing and creative industries to connect, whilst also giving readers the chance to discover new voices.
Another highlight will be the 20th Sheikh Zayed Book Award ceremony, which will take place during this year’s fair on September 16.
