Get A Rare Look Inside the Training at Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts

For horse lovers, watching an equestrian performance is one thing; seeing what goes into making those moments look effortless is another.

Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts has opened the doors this summer to its training environment, giving visitors a unique and insightful chance to watch its riders at work.

Take A Look Inside ADREA

Inside ADREA’s Riders Training is a guided experience designed to offer a closer look at the talented trainers, grand horses and eye-catching routines that sit behind the performances.

Visitors can explore parts of the ADREA setting before settling in to observe a live rider training session. Rather than seeing the horses only when they are performing, guests can watch the riders as they work through their training and refine the techniques required for classical horsemanship.

It’s a special experience for those who possess a real keen interest in this art form, and for those who have ever wondered what happens before a horse and rider step into the arena.

Where Tradition Meets Modern Horsemanship

There is a fascinating story behind ADREA itself. Located on Jubail Island, Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts was established around the UAE’s long-standing relationship with the Arabian horse, bringing traditional equestrian knowledge together with contemporary training in the region.

At the heart of its philosophy is Furusiyya, an Arab tradition of horsemanship built around the relationship between horse and rider, with roots stretching back centuries. ADREA draws on this heritage while looking to develop classical riding in a more modern setting.

For equestrian enthusiasts, this experience offers something a little different from simply watching a show. You get to see the preparation, concentration, and communication that help create the finished performance that spectators come to witness.

Inside ADREA’s Riders Training runs until 28 August 2026, making this a limited-time opportunity to see a different side to Abu Dhabi’s most distinctive equestrian destinations.
