Abu Dhabi’s Comedy Season is getting another major addition, with Whitney Cummings heading to the capital for a night of sharp observations and unfiltered stories.
The American comedian is the latest star confirmed for the upcoming festival, adding another internationally recognised name to an already exciting programme.
Whitney Cummings Is Coming to Yas Island
Cummings will perform at Etihad Arena on Yas Island on 31 January 2027, giving comedy fans another reason to head to the island early in the new year.
She joins a growing list of comedians in the season, with Paul Smith, Morgan Jay, Russell Peters, Mo Amer, and Maz Jobrani among the comics already announced.
Adding variety across the programme, the show will bring crowd work and storytelling, with Cummings’ set to perform her particularly direct brand of stand-up.
Expect Nothing Too Off-Limits
Cummings’ style focuses on the funny side of relationships and dating, with quick and observational material. She turns subjects that might normally make people squirm into a great show.
She is also a familiar face beyond stand-up, having worked as an actor, writer and producer. Her career includes creating and starring in the sitcom Whitney, as well as co-creating 2 Broke Girls.
Abu Dhabi’s Comedy Season has become an increasingly important part of the capital’s entertainment calendar since comedy events began drawing major international performers to the city in 2024.
Now, with Cummings joining the latest line-up, there is another big night to circle in the calendar. If you like your comedy honest and with very few subjects considered off-limits, Yas Island could be the place to be this January.
