1. Snow Abu Dhabi
Snow Abu Dhabi offers daily, weekly and monthly passes to the newest addition to the summer camp scene.
The camp is for kids between four to ten, and the camp operates from 9 am to 5 pm. All passes are valid from Monday to Friday.
The weekly pass is valid for five week days during, and the monthly pass is for twenty days.
Activities include snow park rides, snowman building, face painting, team building exercises, a treasure hunt, an arts & crafts workshop, a magic show, lunch and two snacks and a movie at VOX cinemas.
Activities vary daily, depending on the day of the booking at this Winter Wonderland.
An Emirates ID is required to pick up the child at the end of the day. Tickets are non-refundable, non-chargeable, and non-transferable.

2. Zayed Sports City Summer Camp
Zayed Sport City is the perfect summer camp in Abu Dhabi for active children. There is plenty of sports to enjoy.
Similar to Emirates Palace, Zayed Sports City collaborate with a variety of experts to curate activities for children at the Abu Dhabi summer camp. This year the collaboration is with HARAKA.
The camp has a multitude of activities such as relay racing, ice-skating, martial arts, bowling, racket sports, scavenger hunts, mini Olympics, team challenges and a movie with popcorn for chill-out time.
Children are usually split into two groups so younger and older children can enjoy more age-appropriate activities.

Emirates Bando is committed to a youth development programme that shines through in its incredible summer camp.
The programme is holistic as it focuses on defence, character building and strong relationships, ideal for its audience of 9 to 16-year-old boys.
A typical day at this summer programme is split into two parts. The morning is dedicated to character building, whilst the afternoon is all about Emirates Bando’s specialism – martial arts!
A healthy balanced lunch is provided as part of the package. The topics covered in the extensive programme include health and nutrition, mindfulness and physical fitness.

In 2022, The National Aquarium in Al Qana very close to the Grand Mosque ran its first summer camp.
This camp is certainly one of the most educational experiences available. Children will grow their own beans, examine creatures under a microscope and learn about the importance of recycling and its potential impact on marine life.
Children will also be able to interact with the resident birds and marine animals with specific lessons from the experts.

The camp is not all trampolining, there are games too. From egg and spoon races to science experiments, the day is varied.

Cabdoodle is well known as a baby and toddler hangout in Galleria Mall. However, during school breaks, Cabdoodle welcomes children up to 9 years old for its summer activities in Abu Dhabi.

Dolphins Sports Academy is an ideal choice for a summer camp in Abu Dhabi for children learning to swim.
With branches in neighbouring Dubai as well, the academy specialise in swimming lessons along with water games and water sports in the pool. Not to mention many other activities such as basketball, football, karate arts and crafts, badminton, yoga, table tennis and Quran recitation.

The Abu Dhabi Pottery summer camp is definitely for those children with a specific interest in crafts since pottery is so specialised. There are no fixed dates per se, the pack of sessions need to be used by the last day of the summer holidays.
In the sessions, children will learn to make an array of creations each with a different technique. From tiles and plates to cups, bowls and vases. Some of the skills include pinching, coiling, slab making, ceramic painting and fire glazing.

18. Korean Cultural Centre
With quite a number of Koreans in Abu Dhabi, it is no surprise there is a cultural centre in the Emirate. The summer camp runs from Monday to Thursday, however, spaces are not guaranteed and are by application only.
The program covers Korean traditional games, basic Korean words, sampling the cuisine, learning about traditional clothing and storytelling. One of the hands-on activities includes crafting a 3d traditional handbook.
Having the opportunity to visit the Korean Cultural Centre is quite unique and offers insight into another country’s customs and traditions. The same programme runs every day so it would be just a one-off visit.

The Club Abu Dhabi is a not-for-profit private members club based on Saadiyat Island. It is incredibly popular with families since it has tonnes of activities and social events regularly. Not to mention, many restaurants and bars.
Whilst the summer camp is for members only, it may be enough to consider membership since they have clubs on every school break.
The camp runs daily and has tonnes of sports, swimming, arts and crafts and lunch is provided by the on-site restaurant. Parents can choose from the menu at drop-off.

The summer camp at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi has to be one of the most luxurious of all, with a wide array of fun and educational activities for kids over the school break.
This year, kids camp starts on the 3rd of July and finishes on the 3rd of September. The camp is what we consider to be a multi-camp with an array of interesting activities.
Children at this kids camp will be split onto three different age groups to ensure age-appropriate activities.
This year, the palace have teamed up with Manchester City Football for special coaching sessions every Friday for 6 to 12 year olds.
There is a tonne of acitivitues which include lazy river, water paddle, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, aqua fitness and playground time.
Some other experiences inlcude VR adventure, a boat adventure, meeting the horses, palace tour, movie time, loads of sports, dance classes, yoga and zumba to name a few.
When it is time to relax, arts and crafts and connecting with nature sound like the ideal sessions.

What is the best age to go to summer camp?
Most summer camps accept children 5+ years old as there is an expectation for children to be independent in certain self-care.
Some camps accept children as young as 3 and a half years old. Whilst Montessori and preschool-type establishments will take kids as young as 2 years old.
When it comes to the activities on offer at some of the main camps which have a lot going on, 5 is probably a good age. However, this also depends on the child.
What are summer camp activities?
