Set within Abu Dhabi’s growing cultural district on Al Saadiyat Island, the Abrahamic Family House is a landmark that speaks softly but carries deep meaning.
Unlike attractions built to impress at first glance, this site invites visitors to slow down, reflect, and consider the values that connect people across cultures and beliefs. For residents and visitors, it offers an experience that feels quietly powerful.
Three Sacred Spaces, One Shared Vision
At the heart of the Abrahamic Family House are three places of worship a mosque, a church, and a synagogue. Each structure serves its own faith community while standing side by side in equal form and presence.

The design avoids hierarchy, instead emphasising balance and mutual respect between the three.
- Eminence Ahmed El-Tayeb Mosque
- St. Francis Church
- Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue
Moving between the three buildings feels intentional. There is no sense of separation or division, only a gentle flow that encourages understanding of the religions.
It’s this thoughtful layout that makes the Abrahamic Family House such a compelling symbol of coexistence in the UAE.
Architecture Designed for Calm and Reflection
Designed by Sir David Adjaye, the structure is defined by simplicity, proportion, and light. Clean lines and soft natural illumination create a calm atmosphere that feels welcoming for all.
The architecture does not seek to overwhelm but to guide visitors on reflection and quiet awareness.
Outside, shaded walkways and landscaped courtyards provide space to pause. Whether you arrive alone or with others, the environment encourages stillness, making it an ideal place to step away from the pace of city life.
A Space for Learning and Dialogue
Beyond its places of worship, the Abrahamic Family House also serves as a centre for education and cultural exchange.
Guided tours and informational displays offer insight into the shared roots of the Abrahamic faiths, presented in a way that is accessible to those visiting.
These learning spaces make the landmark especially meaningful for Abu Dhabi residents, offering ongoing opportunities to engage with ideas of tolerance and understanding.
For visitors, it provides context that goes beyond architecture, offering a deeper appreciation of the UAE’s cultural values.
