The long weekend is finally here with plenty to do around town – and the best part? Free parking over Eid Al Adha, variable toll timings and more!
As always, the celebration will feature fireworks displays across Abu Dhabi, so you’ll want to arrive early and secure a good viewing spot.
Free parking and toll in Abu Dhabi
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) – Abu Dhabi Mobility, part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has announced that toll fees at Darb gates and parking charges at Mawaqif facilities will be waived during the Eid Al Adha weekend.
And with all the brunches, lunches, staycations and more happening around the capital, you can save on the extra parking fees!
Paid parking and toll charges will resume on Monday, June 9.
Parking and Eid al Adha canons in Dubai
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the official service hours for various public services during the Eid Al Adha holiday. The adjusted timings apply to Customer Happiness Centres, public transportation services, parking zones, and vehicle testing centres.
Public parking will be free of charge from 5 to 8 June 2025, excluding multi-level parking terminals.
Dubai Police also announced the six designated locations for the ceremonial cannon fire to mark the celebration.
- Grand Zaabeel Mosque and the Eid Mussalahs in Baraha
- Nad Al Hamar Mussalah
- Hatta
- Umm Suqeim
- Al Barsha.
Eid al Adha parking in Sharjah
Like the rest of the UAE, Sharjah announced that parking will be free over the entire Eid al Adha holiday, from June 6-8.
However, the free parking does not apply to the seven-day paid public parking zones, identified by their blue parking information signs.
The Municipality also announced that all medical fitness centres will be closed from Friday to Sunday, as well as the veterinary clinic in Al Jubail.
Have a great weekend!
