Are you ready to welcome a super cool new immersive experience in Abu Dhabi? Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi, located next to The National Aquarium at Al Qana, is all set to open its doors later this year!
Announced during this year’s Arabian Travel Market, the attraction boasts climate-controlled bio-domes with over 10,000 butterflies fluttering about.
What’s remarkable is the simulation of lush tropical landscapes that will mirror ecosystems from around the world.
Wander along a thoughtfully designed path and experience these delicate creatures up close as they flutter freely around you, creating a magical escape into nature at the heart of the city.

The sanctuary will be divided into two zones — Asia and the Americas — each highlighting native species from its respective region.
But the Butterfly Gardens in Abu Dhabi will boast more specimens as well, including two-toed sloths, caiman crocodiles, and American insects in the Americas dome.
The Asian dome, on the other hand, will feature bearcats, koi carp, and a wide range of Asian insects.
The Eden Cafe onsite delivers literally what it promises. Think cascading waterfall, a serene koi pond, white peacocks strutting around, and the opportunity to have high tea with butterflies.
The butterfly sanctuary will promote education, with the gardens designed to engage visitors of all ages. An educational highlight will be the dwarf honey bee exhibit, where you can learn more about these fascinating insects and their important contributions to our ecosystem.
