Yas Island is set to welcome a major new waterfront destination on its northern peninsula. Named Yas Point, the 600,000-square-metre development will introduce a new residential and leisure district to the island.
At the heart of the project will be a 700-metre promenade lined with cafés, boutiques, restaurants, and retail spaces. The development will also feature the first beach on the northern side of Yas Island.
Further plans include homes for around 5,000 residents, a five-star resort, and an international school. Three parks will also be connected by dedicated walking and cycling routes, creating plenty of space for residents and visitors to explore the area outdoors.

Aldar is the developer of Yas Point, which will be located near two of Yas Island’s most anticipated future attractions: Disneyland Abu Dhabi and Sphere Abu Dhabi. Disneyland Abu Dhabi is expected to open between 2030 and 2033, while Sphere Abu Dhabi is currently slated for completion in late 2029.
A construction start date for Yas Point has not yet been announced. However, Aldar has said the destination will continue to grow over time, with further residential, hospitality, and lifestyle offerings planned.
The development joins a wider pipeline of major projects helping to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a global destination for luxury living, entertainment, and tourism.
