UAE Schools Announce Eid Al Adha Mid-Term Break Dates

Families across the UAE can start planning ahead, as the Eid Al Adha mid-term school break has now been confirmed by the Ministry of Education.

Students, teachers, and administrative staff will be off from May 25th to May 29th, creating a welcome pause during the final term of the academic year.

Timed to coincide with one of the most significant dates in the Islamic calendar, the break offers both a cultural moment of reflection and a practical opportunity to rest before the school year wraps up.

A Mid-Term Reset for Schools

Falling within the third term, the five-day break is designed to give the entire school community a breather ahead of end-of-year assessments and activities.

By aligning time off for students, teaching staff, and administrative teams, schools across the country will effectively pause operations during this period.

For many, it comes at an ideal time, late enough in the term to feel earned, yet early enough to help recharge before the final academic push.

Aligned with the Academic Calendar

The scheduled break forms part of the UAE’s structured academic calendar, which incorporates regular intervals throughout the year to support student wellbeing and performance.

Positioning this pause during Eid Al Adha ensures students can fully take part in celebrations without conflicting academic commitments.

With the end of term approaching in early summer, this break also marks one of the final opportunities for students to unwind before the long summer holidays begin.
