UAE Pro League Weekend Round-Up – Game Week 26

The final weekend of the UAE Pro League delivered a mixed weekend for Abu Dhabi’s clubs, with emphatic victories for both Al Ain and Al Jazira, while Al Wahda slipped to a narrow defeat against Al Dhafra.

FC Baniyas, meanwhile, endured a difficult afternoon away from home as the curtains closed on another dramatic league campaign.

Here is a look at the weekend’s results.

Al Dhafra 1- 0 Al Wahda (Saturday 16th May 2026)

Al Wahda’s hopes of ending the season on a high suffered another setback after a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Al Dhafra.

Despite controlling large periods of possession and creating several promising opportunities, Al Wahda struggled to break down the hosts’ disciplined defensive display.

The result adds further disappointment to Al Wahda’s inconsistent league campaign, which has seen flashes of quality but ultimately fallen short in the race for silverware and missed out on qualification for the AFC Champions League Elite.

Al Ain 4- 0 Dibba (Saturday 16th May 2026)

Al Ain produced one of the performances of the weekend with a commanding 4-0 victory over Dibba, continuing their strong finish to the UAE Pro League season.

The champions looked sharp from the opening stages, dominating possession and creating chances with confidence throughout the match.

The win underlines how reliable Al Ain have been during the latter stages of the campaign, with the club once again proving why they finished top of the league.

Al Jazira 4 – 1 FC Baniyas (Saturday 16th May 2026)

Al Jazira ended the weekend in style after securing an entertaining 4-1 win against FC Baniyas in Abu Dhabi.

The hosts delivered an energetic attacking performance, finishing fourth and earning the chance to qualify for the AFC Champions League Elite through the two-group stage.

For FC Baniyas, it was another challenging result in what has been a challenging season overall. While there have been moments of promise during the campaign, consistency has remained an issue for the club.

Abu Dhabi’s clubs close the campaign on another dramatic season filled with highs, setbacks and standout performances.

Al Ain and Al Jazira finish the campaign with strong momentum after impressive victories, while Al Wahda and FC Baniyas will now turn their attention towards regrouping and preparing for the challenges of next season.

As the summer break begins, attention across the UAE football scene will soon shift towards transfer activity, pre-season preparations and what promises to be another competitive year ahead.
