UAE Braces for Temperatures Close To 46°C This Week

Summer appears to be arriving early across the UAE, with temperatures forecast to climb sharply over the coming days.

Weather experts have warned that some parts of the country could experience highs nearing 46°C by midweek, marking one of the hottest periods of the year so far.

According to forecasts from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), temperatures are expected to rise steadily throughout the week, particularly across inland areas.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai are both expected to see daytime highs push well into the 40s, while eastern regions could feel even hotter as the week progresses.

Hot Days and Nights Ahead

It is not only the daytime heat that residents will notice. Humidity levels are also predicted to increase during the evenings and early mornings, especially along coastal areas of the region.

The combination of heat and moisture is likely to make conditions feel even more intense outdoors, with guidance on how to stay cool being advised by the authorities.

Forecasters have also stated and warned that mist and fog could form in some areas during the early hours of the day, potentially affecting visibility for commuters heading out in the morning.

Dusty Conditions Could Sweep Through Parts of the Country

Alongside the soaring temperatures, winds are expected to pick up later in the week, bringing dusty conditions to exposed areas across the UAE.

It is encouraged that residents and visitors take precautions during the hotter weather by staying hydrated, limiting time outdoors during peak afternoon hours, and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight where possible.

With temperatures continuing to climb, the UAE is getting an early taste of full summer conditions before the season officially begins.
