A new immersive experience is arriving at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental this summer. Created in collaboration with UAE-born concept ETHR Café, The Silk Fold by ETHR Café will take over the space beneath the hotel’s iconic Grand Dome from June 6th to September 4th, 2026.
Blending Emirati heritage with contemporary design, this seasonal pop-up will bring together coffee culture, craftsmanship, live experiences, and artistic storytelling in an intimate setting designed for connection.
Coffee Tastings and Live Performances
Throughout this summer, visitors can look forward to a changing programme of Arabic coffee tastings, curated culinary collaborations, live performances, talks, and community-focused experiences.
Situated beneath the Grand Dome in the lobby of Emirates Palace, The Silk Fold by ETHR Café will open daily from 4.00 PM, with extended hours on weekends. Entry is free on a first-come, first-served basis, and no reservations are required.
Inspired By Emirati Heritage and Design
At the centre of the experience is a creative interpretation of the Mandarin Oriental Fan through the lens of the traditional Emirati Mukhawar.
Designed to contrast the palace’s grandeur with a softer, more intimate atmosphere, the experience invites guests to explore a setting centred on thoughtful details and local artistry.
Every element of this experience has been curated to celebrate creativity from the UAE while offering a fresh perspective on traditional craftsmanship. This concept has been designed to evolve during its residency, giving guests new reasons to return across the season.
