Abu Dhabi Confirms Free Parking and Toll-Free Travel for Eid al-Adha

Getting around the capital during Eid al-adha is set to become a little easier this year, with Abu Dhabi authorities announcing free public parking and suspended toll charges for the Darb during the holiday period this week.

The temporary changes are designed to support smoother movement across the city as residents and visitors head out for family visits, festive gatherings, and long-weekend plans across the regions.

Confirmed by Q Mobility, the announcement has also outlined the dates for parking exemptions, toll suspensions and customer service operating hours during the break.

Public Parking Fees to Be Waived During the Holiday

Public parking spaces across Abu Dhabi will be free to use from Monday, May 25th, until the end of Friday, May 29th. Paid parking operations are expected to resume on Saturday, May 30th.

Drivers should note that the exemption only applies to standard public parking spaces. Multi-level parking buildings will continue to charge normal fees throughout the Eid holiday period.

This convenient move is expected to offer ease for residents planning outings across the city during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Selected Darb Toll Gates Will Be Free

In addition to free parking, Abu Dhabi has also confirmed that Darb toll fees will be temporarily suspended at several toll gates across the capital during Eid Al Adha.

The exemption will apply to gates, including Al Maqta, Rabdan, Sas Al Nakhl, and Al Saadiyat, helping to reduce travel costs for motorists travelling through these areas.

Although some customer happiness centres and service locations will close during the holiday, motorists will still be able to access key services digitally through the Darb app, Q Mobility website and TAMM platform during the Eid break.
