The city’s dining scene is about to take a trip to Tokyo, with a distinctly French passport. Arriving this September, Minuit Tokyo will open at Novotel Al Bustan Hotel, bringing together two culinary worlds that don’t usually share the same plate.
This exciting new restaurant will be the capital’s first French-Japanese dining concept, built around relaxed, late-evening meals rather than a quick dinner and home.
A Little Bit of France, A Little Bit of Tokyo
Minuit Tokyo’s kitchen will be headed by French chefs Sébastien and Coralie, who have previously worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in France.
Now based in Abu Dhabi, the duo will bring their influences, offering a menu that will take inspiration from both sides of the culinary map. It’s the elegance of French cooking with the considered approach associated with Japanese cuisine.
There’s a story behind the name also. Minuit is French for midnight, referencing the atmosphere of Tokyo’s high-end restaurants after dark and hinting at the leisurely nights the restaurant hopes to create.
