Sundowners by SECRET is a brand-new social concept by Secret Abu Dhabi, designed to bring people together through music, food, drinks and curated experiences in some of the city’s most beautiful waterfront locations.
More than just an event, it is a relaxed sunset gathering where guests can switch off from their weekly routine, discover local brands and enjoy an evening built around community, connection and good energy
The debut edition of Sundowners by SECRET produced exactly that. Hosted at Bayshore Beach Club at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi, the city’s newest get-together welcomed guests for an evening that blended poolside relaxation, sunset beats and effortless summer style.
From the moment the bubbles were poured on arrival, the tone was set for a gathering that encouraged guests to unwind and make the most of Abu Dhabi’s beautiful waterfront setting.
Where Sunset Meets Social
As guests filtered in throughout the evening, the atmosphere began to take shape. Some arrived dressed to impress, while others embraced a more relaxed summer look, proving that comfort and confidence were equally at home at Sundowners By SECRET.
With front-row views over the water and DJ Brent Anthony providing the soundtrack, Friday night’s Sundowners by SECRET captured a more sophisticated side of fun, with golden-hour drinks, laid-back energy and a waterfront setting made for easing into the weekend.
The music struck by one of Abu Dhabi’s best deck masters was a perfect balance, keeping guests grooving as the night went on.
Fashion, Food, and Feel-Good Moments
Adding to the experience were a series of pop-up stalls showcasing local and regional brands, including Andina Vogue, Nail Addict, Nativo Arte, AGUA E COCO from Mint Market. The Colombian-inspired wardrobe options contributed to another great visual poolside.
With smoke rising from the grills, guests enjoyed a selection of live food stations serving culinary favourites, which included moreish mini-Belgian sliders, fresh shrimp lo mein, delightful tacos, and waffles with chocolate and strawberry sauces to keep the sweet tooth happy.
As the warm weather was upon the guests, a cooling note was struck by the ice cream truck, parking itself right next to the action, where the sundowners could enjoy a refreshing cup or cone.
Meanwhile, crafted beverages flowed throughout the evening as the Bayshore staff kept drinks expertly in hand and conversations flowing.
The Pool Became the Place to Be
As the sun dipped and the music intensified, swimwear had replaced evening attire as guests headed into the water, with unicorn and flamingo inflatables quickly becoming part of the evening’s personality and a key activity.
Friendly rounds of drink pong and table tennis added a playful edge to the event, while more groups gathered around the pool to soak up the atmosphere.
The first edition of Sundowners by SECRET delivered exactly what it promised: a stylish, social and effortlessly fun evening that brought together great music, good company and unforgettable summer vibes.
If this debut is anything to go by, Abu Dhabi’s newest sunset social is only just getting started.
