Abu Dhabi has just achieved a world first worth celebrating, with the announcement that Al Ain Tower has secured a Guinness World Records title.
The esteemed building’s elevated running track, located in Al Khalidiyah, has been recognised as the highest on a building in the world, adding another impressive accolade to the capital’s growing collection of record-breaking attractions.

Taking Fitness to New Heights
Sitting nearly 180 metres above ground level, the track offers residents in the building a chance to exercise far above the streets of Abu Dhabi, with Al Ain Tower providing a facility that combines fitness with spectacular views across the city.
The achievement, which created a unique experience, was officially verified by Guinness World Records in June 2026, cementing the tower’s place in the record books and putting the spotlight on the capital’s fitness initiatives, which continue to exceed expectations.
More Than Just a Running Track
While the world record is certainly the headline attraction, the project reflects a broader focus on encouraging healthy and active lifestyles.
By transforming unused rooftop space into a functional fitness facility, the landmark building has created an innovative environment that promotes exercise in a memorable setting.
The recognition also showcases how Abu Dhabi continues to embrace creative concepts that blend architecture, lifestyle, and wellbeing in the city.

Another Win for Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi continues to have a reputation for thinking big, and this latest World Record title further strengthens that standing, demonstrating how the emirate continues to find new ways to stand out on the global stage.
