Visitors heading to Zayed National Museum this Eid will have the chance to transform their personal memories and reflections into bespoke poetry, thanks to a new cultural activation launched by Experience Abu Dhabi.
Running from 27th to the 31st of May as part of The Joy of Eid programme, this thoughtful experience pairs guests with poets in intimate one-to-one conversations.
Through these exchanges, participants will share stories, thoughts, and moments connected to Abu Dhabi, which are then reimagined into original poems crafted in either Arabic or English.
Open to residents, tourists and UAE nationals, the activation has been designed to celebrate the many voices and experiences that shape life in the capital.

A Tribute to Culture, Memory and Connection
The initiative highlights the long-standing importance of poetry within Emirati culture. Hosted inside the UAE’s national museum, the experience draws on themes of heritage and identity that continue to shape the country’s cultural landscape today.
With its aim to create meaningful dialogue between people from different backgrounds, the initiative is encouraging those in the city to engage with poetry in a more personal and accessible way.
Part Of the Museum’s Eid Programme
Alongside poetry, visitors can also expect activities inspired by music, craftsmanship, hospitality and storytelling, all designed to celebrate the spirit of Eid and Emirati traditions through shared cultural experiences.
By turning individual experiences into poetry, the work created will provide a meaningful cultural moment that celebrates both the spirit of the city and the people who call it home.
