The Abu Dhabi Festival 2026 is set to bring a season of artistic excellence to the capital, unveiling a programme that spans continents, genres and generations. Taking place across some of the city’s most iconic venues, the festival brings together internationally celebrated performers alongside leading regional and Emirati talent, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global cultural hub.
International Icons Headline
The festival opens its star-studded lineup with Grammy-winning musician Jon Batiste, who takes to the stage at Emirates Palace Auditorium on 12 April as part of The Maestro Series. Known for his expressive piano style and genre-blending sound, Batiste delivers an intimate performance that moves effortlessly between jazz and soul.
Later in the season, globally acclaimed cellist HAUSER brings his electrifying stage presence to Etihad Arena on 2 May. Famed for reimagining classical music for modern audiences, his performance promises a powerful mix of emotion, virtuosity and theatrical flair.

Ballet, Opera and Classical Mastery
Dance and opera take centre stage with a series of standout performances. American Ballet Theatre arrives in Abu Dhabi on 17 April, presenting a dynamic programme that showcases contemporary creativity alongside classical tradition.
Opera lovers can look forward to a special Verdi Opera Gala on 21 April, commemorating 125 years since the legendary composer’s passing. Featuring the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra with acclaimed soloists Maria Agresta and Giorgio Berrugi, the evening celebrates some of Verdi’s most iconic works.

Cultural Fusion and Boundary-Breaking Performances
The festival continues its tradition of artistic innovation with performances that blend cultures and disciplines. Algarabía brings together flamenco, Arab poetry, orchestral music and dance in a visually striking production, while Tunisian oud virtuoso Dhafer Youssef delivers a genre-defying performance rooted in Arab musical traditions and global influences.
Spotlight on Emirati Talent
Emirati artists play a central role in the 2026 programme, with a dedicated recital series at NYU Abu Dhabi. Performances by Fatima Al Hashimi, Saif Al Naqbi, Noura Al Marzouqi and Elham Al Marzouqi highlight the depth, diversity and future of the UAE’s cultural landscape.
