Ever watched Lewis Hamilton or Max Verstappen flying around Yas Marina Circuit and thought you might fancy having a go yourself?
Well, now you can get a little closer to finding out what it feels like, as Yas Kartzone Grand Prix Edition has arrived for a limited run, giving karting fans the chance to take to a section of the iconic Formula 1 circuit and put their racing skills to the test.
From Karting Track to Grand Prix Circuit
From August 9, Yas Kartzone is taking its karts onto the North Handling Circuit, offering a very different setting from the venue’s regular karting experience.
Whilst you might not quite be reaching F1 speeds, there is a special feeling about getting behind the wheel at a circuit that welcomes the world’s best drivers every year.
You can race around a section of the same Yas Marina Circuit complex where Hamilton, Verstappen, Lando Norris, and the rest of the F1 grid battle it out during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
So, if you fancy channelling your inner racer or want to settle an ongoing family rivalry over who is the better driver, this is a must-do activity on Yas Island.
Who Can Race?
Children aged between 5 and 7 can take part in dedicated kids’ sessions, with 8-12-year-olds able to race in junior karts. Drivers aged 13 and above can use the adult karts.
For the Grand Prix Edition, check the age and session requirements when booking, as availability may vary.
