Yas Island’s list of attractions is about to grow once again, but this time the focus is firmly on community living.
Plans have been announced for Yas Community Park, a new public space designed to bring residents and visitors together through wellness and memorable shared experiences.
The project is being delivered through a partnership between the Department of Community Development (DCD) and Aldar, with the primary aim to provide a welcoming environment that combines nature with facilities designed for everyday life.
What will Yas Community Park feature?
Offering more green space in the area, visitors to the park can look forward to landscaped gardens and an inclusive playground where children of all abilities can play together.
A mosque and a selection of retail outlets will also form part of the development, making the green space a convenient destination for both leisure and daily essentials.
One of its most distinctive features will be Nabdh Yas, the first community hub of its kind in Abu Dhabi created through a public-private partnership.
This inclusive space will host workshops, social programmes, and community events, encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to connect throughout the year.
Opening Dates
Constructed on a specific timeline, Yas Community Park will be introduced in stages, with the first phase expected to open in late 2026.
As additional facilities are completed, the park is set to become a vibrant neighbourhood hub where recreation and community life come together, adding another reason for families to spend time on Yas Island.
