Planning your next getaway ahead of summer? Things might be coming to a slight halt with some massive UAE flight cancellations.
From Etihad Airways to Emirates, Air Arabia and beyond, brace yourself for extended flight suspensions and reroutes due to airspace closures affecting Iran, Iraq, Israel and surrounding areas.

Etihad Airways
As of now, Etihad Airways has suspended the Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Tel Aviv, Israel (TLV) until July 15.
Several flights are being rerouted, although flights to Jordan have resumed at the moment. The airline has advised passengers to stay updated through the official websites.
Emirates
Dubai’s flagship carrier, Emirates, has halted flights to Tehran, Baghdad and Basra until June 30. Flights to Tel Aviv are also cancelled as of now.
flydubai
Similarly, flydubai’s services to Jordan and Lebanon have resumed for the moment, but only during the day. Flights to Iran, Iraq, Israel and Syria will remain suspended until Monday, June 30.
Air Arabia
For both Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia has suspended Iran, Iraq, Russia, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan until Monday, June 30. The official announcements have mentioned that flights to Jordan will remain suspended until Wednesday, June 25.
The airline has also temporarily closed its sales offices in Iran due to the ongoing situation.
Wizz Air
According to their latest statement, Wizz Air has suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, and European flights to Amman and Jordan, until September 15.
Affected customers could opt for rebooking or apply for a refund instead.
Disruptions are expected to continue into the week, with Zayed International Airport saying, “Flight operations at Zayed International Airport continue to face disruptions, with delays and cancellations. We’re working with our partners, and while there are early signs of improvement, they remain minimal. Please check with your airline.”
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also issued a travel advisory, encouraging UAE nationals, residents and visitors to stay in close contact with their airlines. Emiratis currently in Israel, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria or Jordan are advised to register with the Twajudi system, which supports citizens abroad during emergencies.
