While there are always endless things to do in town to keep fit, why not do something for a good cause too? That’s right, we’re talking about the upcoming special edition of Ride with Rixos in Abu Dhabi!
Marking World Wish Day on April 29 to commemorate the founding of Make-A-Wish Foundation, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is hosting this particular ‘Ride with Rixos’ on April 26.
The event invites the community to come together in support of a cause that brings hope and strength to children facing critical illnesses. This edition of the ride also honours the incredible resilience of the children and families directly affected by the foundation.
When is Ride with Rixos taking place?
Starting at 6:45 am, head to the front entrance of Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi for a pre-ride briefing and an energising warm-up session.
The ride will commence at 7:15 am, taking place along the 20km scenic cycling route by Abu Dhabi’s iconic Corniche.
Upon reaching the finish line, riders will be welcomed back to Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, where they can enjoy an array of refreshments and the property’s renowned Turkish hospitality.
That’s not it, though. A post-ride stretching session will then be available at the wellness area, followed by a breakfast gathering so you can get to know the rest of the community better!
‘Ride with Rixos’ is a growing community-driven initiative that promotes wellness and social impact through cycling. Since its inception on World Bicycle Day in June 2023, the event has gained remarkable momentum, welcoming nearly 800 participants across its five editions to date.
Each ride supports a meaningful cause, with past editions held in partnership with organisations such as Friends of Cancer Patients and The Pink Caravan, championing health awareness and charitable giving.
Set against the backdrop of Abu Dhabi’s stunning Corniche, the event brings the community together in a show of support for children whose wishes have the power to uplift and inspire.
