Abu Dhabi’s packed sporting calendar is about to welcome another global heavyweight, as the UAE capital has officially been selected to host the FEI Endurance World Championship 2026.
The prestigious competition is set to take place at Butheeb International Endurance Village this December, attracting the world’s leading horses and riders to compete over an incredible long-distance course that tests endurance and exceptional horsemanship.

Abu Dhabi is no stranger to delivering world-class events, and that experience has once again been recognised on the international stage.
The emirate was selected to host the championship thanks to its established reputation in equestrian, high-quality facilities, and proven ability to organise major global competitions.
The action will unfold at Butheeb International Endurance Village in Al Khatim, a purpose-built venue which has become one of the region’s leading destinations for endurance racing and has previously welcomed elite competitors from across the globe.

The FEI Endurance World Championship 2026 will run from 14 – 20 December 20206, with the championship race itself scheduled for 19 December, which is a Saturday.
Adding another world championship to its growing list of major sporting occasions further cements Abu Dhabi’s position as a destination capable of hosting the very best international events.
