There’s been a lot of developments in terms of visas and even the types now being issued in the spirit of making the country a more accessible destination for travellers and digital nomads alike. The UAE has now expanded its visa onarrival programme for Indian nationals from 6 new countries!

The initiative came into effect on 13th February 2025, and eligibility includes Indians with valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
This visa on arrival will be valid at all of the UAE’s entry points.
This expansion adds to the list of previously eligible countries, which includes the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. The announcement was made by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, reflecting the strengthening ties between the UAE and India.
The new initiative is designed to boost tourism, attract skilled workers and entrepreneurs, and further cement the UAE’s status as a global hub for business and innovation.
As part of the new process, applicants must ensure their passport is valid for at least six months and pay the prescribed fees in accordance with the regulations.
