Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has unveiled 16 brand-new parks in Al Shamkha across the Al Shamkha district, expanding the capital’s green spaces and growing the community network.
These thoughtfully designed parks in Al Shamkha are more than just patches of greenery; they are welcoming environments created to support residents and visitors daily. The initiative forms part of a broader strategy to enhance livability across the emirate.
A Place to Play, Relax and Get Active
Each park offers a mix of amenities that cater to a wide range of interests. With eight dedicated fitness areas and 25 sports courts available throughout the district, an active lifestyle is encouraged at every turn.
There are 26 inclusive children’s play areas, which have been designed to be safe, fun, and accessible for kids of all abilities.
The walking paths invite morning strolls and evening wanderings, while shaded seating areas provide comfortable spots for relaxation and social gatherings.
Whether it’s a quick jog before work, a weekend picnic with family, or a calm moment with a book, these parks offer a little something for everyone.
