Abu Dhabi Expands Parking Capacity With New Multi Storey Facilities in Mohamed Bin Zayed City

Abu Dhabi’s mobility authority has announced the activation of four new multi-storey parking facilities in Mohamed Bin Zayed City, a move designed to improve parking availability and ease vehicle movement across the busy commercial district.

The new facilities officially began operations on 11 March 2026 and are part of ongoing efforts to enhance parking management across the capital.

By introducing additional structured parking, the initiative aims to support growing demand in one of the city’s most active residential and commercial communities.

New Parking Spaces Added Across Key Buildings

The newly activated facilities are located across several buildings in the Mohamed Bin Zayed City commercial area and collectively introduce a significant number of additional parking spaces.

The largest facility is Building No. 12, which offers 682 parking spaces. Building No. 9 adds 418 spaces, while Building No. 11 provides 247 spaces. A smaller facility at Building No. 10 contributes an additional 99 spaces.

Together, these developments add over 1,400 new parking spaces to the area, helping to reduce pressure on surrounding streets and improving accessibility for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Positioned near major routes, including the E30 and E11 highways, and close to landmarks such as Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, the locations have been selected to support smoother traffic flow within the district.

Officials say the new parking structures are intended to make parking more accessible and convenient, and to improve the overall user experience. Structured parking also helps organise vehicle movement within commercial zones, reducing congestion and supporting safer streets.

As Abu Dhabi continues to grow, initiatives like these form part of the wider strategy to improve mobility infrastructure across the emirate.

By expanding organised parking solutions in high-demand areas such as Mohamed Bin Zayed City, authorities are working to ensure that transport systems keep pace with the city’s development.
