The UAE is marking its close relationship with Kuwait this week with a series of large-scale celebrations taking place across Abu Dhabi and the wider country.

The programme of events is designed to highlight the long-standing cultural, political, and social ties between the two nations, bringing communities together through music, light, and shared heritage.
Across the capital, iconic buildings and landmarks will be illuminated in the colours of the Kuwaiti flag, creating a visible city-wide tribute throughout the evenings.
Citywide, from waterfront shows to live performances and cultural activations, the weekend in particular is expected to be one of the most visually impressive periods in Abu Dhabi’s events calendar so far this year.
For residents and visitors alike, this is a rare opportunity to experience a Gulf celebration that blends tradition with large-scale public spectacle, with many of the key events free and open to the public.
