For a lunch that feels a little more considered, Pincode by Kunal Kapur delivers an experience that goes beyond the plate.
Located within The Galleria, the Michelin Guide-recognised restaurant pairs bold Indian flavours with a setting that feels both polished and inviting.
Sampling the Chef’s Special Menu during a midday visit revealed a menu built on balance, creativity, and careful attention to detail.
Setting the Scene
As soon as you enter the restaurant, the interiors that greet you blend classic and cultural influences, combining an old English country club feel with Indian design elements.
With attentive service right from the start and a setting suited to both casual lunches and evening dining, it’s a space that feels easy to settle into.

An Expressive Start with Mocktails
The meal opened with two signature mocktails, a maduai and a nubra.
Both arriving with a sense of flair that immediately set the tone, they were both thoughtfully composed, offering refreshing contrasts in flavour while adding a touch of theatre to the start of the sitting.
A Flavour-Packed First Course
The palak patta chaat made an immediate impression. Crisp spinach leaves were layered with sweet and tangy elements, finished with sev and smooth curd.
Each bite delivered a mix of textures and flavours, making it a strong and memorable opener.
Starters that Complement Each Other
Next came a well-matched pair of starters. The truffle glaze crispy potatoes coated in a rich truffle malai was lifted by the sharpness of spiced green apple, giving strong variation in flavours.
Alongside it, the mamalapuram fish showcased seabass marinated in aromatic spices and cooked with precision. The gentle heat running through the fish added just enough intensity to balance the starter.

Hearty Mains with Broad Appeal
The mains offered a varied selection. The subz seekh masala featured vegetable kebabs in a tangy, spiced tomato base, while the chicken changezi delivered slow-roasted chicken in a deeply flavoured gravy.
The seafood option stood out with the prawn tawa masala. The prawns are cooked on a hot tawa with bold spices, making it a particularly good choice for those drawn to fish curries with robust flavour
Overall, Pincode by Kunal Kapur delivers a thoughtful curated dining experience that feels both refined and memorable, and a venue that’s absolutely worth visiting.
