A First Look at Bab Al Qasr’s Ramadan Garden

Bab Al Qasr’s Ramadan Garden opened for preview on Monday evening, revealing a large outdoor setup tucked just behind the hotel’s beach area.

Surrounded by greenery and framed by the lit Corniche towers, the space feels open and spacious without losing the atmosphere you want from a Ramadan setting.

The garden can seat up to 500 guests, with live cooking stations spread throughout the venue. Arabic dishes sit alongside sushi, salads, international options and Ramadan favourites including lamb ouzi.

The layout works well, with smaller majlis-style seating areas dotted around the garden so groups can settle in comfortably while still feeling part of the larger space

Live entertainment runs through the evening, from qanun and oud performances to a tanoura show that adds movement and energy without taking over the experience.

Temperatures do drop later in the evening, so a light shawl is worth bringing, although staff were also offering blankets during the preview night.

Ramadan Nights by Secret Pop-Up

The preview also marked our first Ramadan Nights by Secret pop-up, bringing readers together to experience the opening night.

The idea behind these events is to gather our community around some of the best iftars in Abu Dhabi and experience them together.

Bab Al Qasr felt like a strong place to start. The scale of the garden, the relaxed flow between food stations and seating, and the overall setting made it easy for people to move around, eat at their own pace and enjoy the evening. It’s a spacious setup that’s likely to draw a crowd throughout the season.
