Etihad Rail’s passenger service has officially launched in the UAE, marking a major step forward for travel across the country. Abu Dhabi is a key destination on the national rail network, with Mohamed Bin Zayed City Station serving as a major access point for passengers.
To make journeys smoother, shuttle bus services are now available from the Abu Dhabi station, connecting travellers to three key locations across the emirate. The service is designed to make the full journey easier, helping passengers avoid parking stress, traffic and additional transfers.
Anyone planning to use the shuttle bus will need to reserve it when booking their Etihad Rail ticket, as the service currently cannot be booked directly at the station.
Here is what passengers need to know before travelling.
Cost and Timings of the Etihad Rail Shuttle Buses
The shuttle bus service for the Etihad Rail costs AED 10 and links the station to three locations in Abu Dhabi. These are the ADNOC headquarters on Corniche Road, the ADNEC Centre on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, and Reem Mall and Reem Island.
Three services are available every day, aligning with train departure and arrival times. Each service transports passengers to and from the stations.

The buses from ADNOC Headquarters to the station are available at 7.14 am, 12.48 pm and 5.24 pm. One trip takes around 50 minutes. Meanwhile, shuttle buses from ADNEC Centre run at 7.29 am, 1.03 pm and 5.39 pm, each journey taking approximately half an hour. Lastly, those from Reem Mall run at 7.04 am, 12.38 pm, and 5.14 pm. A journey takes around an hour.
However, the buses from the station to all three locations run at the same timings: 7.39 am, 1.04 pm, and 7.33 pm.
