UAE Pro League Weekend Round-Up

The latest round of the UAE Pro League delivered plenty of talking points for football fans across the capital.

From tightly contested fixtures to crucial points gained and dropped, the Abu Dhabi clubs continue to shape the league’s rhythm as the season draws to a close.

Al Nasr 2 – 2 Al Wahda (Saturday 4th April 2026)

Al Wahda was involved in arguably the most thrilling encounter of the weekend but had to settle for a draw after Al Nasr snatched a last-gasp equaliser, after a back-and-forth contest in Dubai.

Al Wahda created several promising opportunities and looked dangerous going forward, but were unable to convert and build on their lead. While the result adds to their points tally, it also reflects a continued search for consistency in crucial moments.

Shabab Al Ahli 2 – 1 Al Jazira (Saturday 4th April 2026)

Al Jazira put in an impressive display against second-place Shabab Al Ahli, who were pushed all the way in a closely fought match.

Although they had long spells of control and produced positive play, they were edged out by Shabab Al Ahli, highlighting just how fine the margins are at this stage of the competition.

Despite the result, the performance underlined their ability to compete with the league’s strongest sides.

Khorfakkan 2 -1 FC Baniyas (Sunday 5th April 2026)

FC Baniyas produced a spirited defensive display in Sharjah on Sunday. Although limited in chances themselves, they made sure Khorfakkan also struggled to find rhythm.

Momentum firmly shifted, however, as the home side took the lead and showed their ability in the second half. Scoring two goals in quick succession took the game beyond FC Baniyas, and despite responding with a goal just after the hour mark, Khorfakkan held firm to see out the win.

Al Ain 2 – 0 Ajman (Sunday 5th April 2026)

Another dominating performance at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain reclaimed the top spot in the ADNOC Pro League after a 2-0 win over Ajman.

Just six minutes in, Al Ain took the lead and set the tone early on in the match. In the second half, the home team sustained their attacking pressure and doubled their lead in the 58th minute. It was a comfortable win that secured three valuable points and returned the team to the top of the standings.

Upcoming Fixtures – Game Week 22:

  • Al Whada vs. Kalba  (9th April 2026)
  • FC Baniyas vs. Sharjah (10th April 2026)
  • Al Ain vs. Shabab Al Ahli (10th April 2026)
  • Al Jazira vs. Dibba (11th April 2026)

Whether competing for top honours or building momentum, each result is adding to an unpredictable finish and an ending that keeps fans across the capital fully engaged.
