Motorists travelling through Abu Dhabi are being advised to plan their journeys in advance as a section of Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street will be partially closed for several days.
The temporary traffic measure will be in place from March 9th up until March 17th, 2026, with works carried out and diversion routes in place.

Temporary Traffic Changes Announced
Authorities have confirmed a partial closure along Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, which is one of Abu Dhabi’s main commuter roads.
Some lanes or sections of the road will be temporarily unavailable during this period, with traffic management measures in place to guide drivers safely through the area.
Temporary closures and lane adjustments are often introduced whilst maintenance or infrastructure improvements are completed, with short-term measures helping ensure that work can be carried out while minimising disruption where possible.
Planning Ahead
Those who travel through Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street are advised to check navigation apps before setting out to identify the quickest route.
During road closures, allowing extra travel time can help reduce stress during busy periods, and following official traffic guidance will help keep traffic moving smoothly.
While the temporary closure may require drivers to make small adjustments to their routes for the week ahead, planning and following traffic directions should help keep journeys across the capital running as conveniently as possible until the works conclude.
