Driving around the capital? From the predicted weather forecast to partial road closures and more, here are some important updates for motorists and pedestrians to take note of in Abu Dhabi.
For starters, the UAE’s weather authorities have announced potential scattered rainfall and cloud formation between 12-19 December.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM)’s weather forecast report stated that the country is affected by the extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an upper-level low-pressure system that deepens and weakens at times.
The weather authorities also added that winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, occasionally turning northwesterly, and will be light to moderate in speed, becoming active at times, especially with clouds, and may cause blowing dust over land.
So if you haven’t caught a cold with the seasonal change, time to carry a light jacket or umbrella with you as winter approaches! Stay hydrated, drive slow and observe speed limits to avoid fines and above all – stay safe.
