Need a splash this summer? You’re in for some good news, because the opening date for Yas Waterworld expansion in Abu Dhabi is sooner than you think!
According to Miral’s announcement, the new expansion of the waterpark is all set to open to the public on July 1.
Located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the extended part of Yas Waterworld spans over an area of 13,445 square metres.
The new area will host new water rides and entertainment activities for all family members, in addition to the existing amenities.
What’s new at the Yas Waterworld expansion?
Explore a new ‘Lost City’ theme which is a continuation of the park’s original story, ‘The Legend of the Lost Pearl’.
With a collection of 20 new rides, slides and experiences, alongside a new dining experience, it’s packed with fun for guests of all ages.
New rides include Al Mafras, a twisting, desert water slide for kids with a splash landing; Red Dunes, a twisting, closed aqua tube slide; and Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side duelling tube raft race, with high-speed drops, sharp twists, and head-to-head action.
The expanded waterpark will also feature the highly anticipated Al Sahel Junior, the region’s first mini zero-gravity boomerango. And of course, the Yas Waterworld expansion will also introduce Dawwama Junior, a scaled-down version of the park’s iconic tornado slide.
Other new rides you can queue up for include Mataha Madness, Sadaf Swirl, Bahamut’s Rage and Bandit’s Playground.
This Yas Waterworld expansion will mark over 60 rides, slides, and attractions, offering more aquatic adventures than ever before.
