Your Guide to the Cultural District in Abu Dhabi

Saadiyat Cultural District in Abu Dhabi represents the emirate’s long-term vision to become a global centre for arts, heritage and creativity. The project was first announced as part of the emirate’s wider cultural strategy to create a destination where world-class museums, galleries and cultural institutions sit side by side.

When the Louvre Abu Dhabi first opened in 2017, the district gradually evolved with the opening of other major cultural landmarks and creative spaces designed to celebrate both international art and the UAE’s own history.

The area today continues to expand with new museums and immersive experiences joining the skyline.

Together, these institutions aim to share stories of civilisation, scientific discovery and artistic expression, making Saadiyat Cultural District one of the most important cultural destinations in the UAE.
