Driving around Abu Dhabi? There are some new paid parking zones you’ll have to take note of across the capital!
Q Mobility announced that the Mawaqif paid parking system has been activated in Eastern Mangroves and Dolphin Park. Additionally, it’s at three sectors along Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street: Al Khaleej Al Arabi Park 1, 2, 4, and 5, and Al Qurm Plaza.
Q Mobility, the ADQ-owned operator responsible for Abu Dhabi’s Darb toll system and Mawaqif parking, announced it on July 10th. Mawaqif will be applied per the regulations in force across Abu Dhabi.
Q Mobility said that the activation of Mawaqif in these new paid parking zones across Abu Dhabi aims to regulate vehicle movement. Additionally, it’s part of ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of public parking usage across the emirate.
The paid parking zones announcement follows the completion of infrastructure works across Abu Dhabi. These included curb painting, installation of directional signage, and distribution of awareness signage to the public.
The company has urged all users to adhere to the instructions displayed on the signage. For further convenience, you can always use the available digital channels to pay through the Darb app.
