Intercity commute getting too complicated? There’s a new non-stop bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi that’s just what you need!
The Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA) has announced a brand-new intercity non-stop bus route to the UAE capital.
What we know about the non-stop bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi
So far, existing routes from Dubai to Abu Dhabi start from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, serving the Bur Dubai area, and Ibn Battuta Bus Station, serving areas such as Jebel Ali, JLT, Dubai Marina and The Palm.
The new non-stop bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi will operate daily from Al Quoz Bus Station and travel directly to MBZ City Bus Station.
Operated in partnership with Capital Express, the bright-green bus fares will be priced at just AED 25 per trip per person, and passengers can pay with contactless cards, NOL cards or cash.

Frequency at the moment is every three hours, with a capacity for 50 passengers on every trip. The new intercity bus provides an extra option from a different area of Dubai for public transport to the capital.
While commuters had to initially make the journey to far-off bus stops, the new route is far more accessible for residents in Umm Suqeim and Al Barsha who need to travel to Abu Dhabi.
As of now, this new non-stop bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi stands as the most budget-friendly mode of public transport for intercity travel. The aforementioned existing routes can cost AED 50, and that’s not including the fares to get to the bus stops. Although the frequency is far higher for those routes, with buses departing almost every 30 minutes or so.
The future for intercity travel is looking very optimistic though, in terms of sustainability, price and even tiem taken.
In 2026, Etihad Rail is set to finally start its passenger service across the country, with journeys between Dubai and Abu Dhabi set to take under an hour. The GCC Rail is also on the horizon, which goes beyond the UAE to provide much more connectivity in the Middle East.
However, this new non-stop bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi is certainly an express way to travel and a great option for those who live and work in either of the emirates.
