The Middle East Film and Comic Con is returning to Abu Dhabi this September, bringing three days of celebrity appearances, anime, gaming, comics and immersive fan experiences to the capital.
Taking place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 11 to 13 September 2026, MEFCC will once again transform the venue into a lively celebration of pop culture. Visitors can expect everything from gaming competitions and exclusive merchandise to comic-book showcases, cosplay and opportunities to meet some of the biggest names in entertainment.
Among the first major guests confirmed for MEFCC 2026 is Mackenyu, best known for playing Roronoa Zoro in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece. The Japanese actor will appear throughout the weekend, with fans able to book autograph sessions, professional photographs and exclusive meet-and-greet experiences.
The convention is also building an impressive line-up of comic-book talent. Acclaimed artists Jim Cheung, Federico Vicentini and Brett Breeding will join The Comic Creators Club, bringing decades of experience working on globally recognised titles and characters, including The Avengers, Wolverine, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Death of Superman.
More celebrity guests, creators and anime personalities are expected to be announced in the lead-up to the event, positioning the 2026 edition as one of MEFCC’s most exciting Abu Dhabi weekends yet.
More than 12 attractions will take over the MEFCC festival arena, giving visitors plenty to explore throughout the three-day event. The Festival Stage will host live entertainment, celebrity appearances and competitions, while the Otaku District will celebrate anime, K-pop and wider Asian pop culture. Dedicated gaming zones will also feature challenges, tournaments and interactive experiences.
Artist Alley will bring together illustrators and independent creators showcasing original artwork, comics and collectables. Cosplay fans can also expect some of the weekend’s most elaborate looks at the MEFCC Cosplay Competition.
The programme will include workshops, talks and panel discussions, alongside plenty of opportunities to browse exclusive merchandise and limited-edition fan products.
Tickets for the Middle East Film and Comic Con 2026 are now available through the official MEFCC website, with prices starting from AED 160.
