“We’re here to stay, we’re not here just to be a passing trend you forget about.”
In a city where wellness often comes wrapped in sleek Instagram reels, high-intensity playlists and the promise of instant transformation, The Method Studio feels almost radical in its simplicity.

Founded by Maha Al Ketbi, this new Abu Dhabi concept is far from the latest fitness fad. In fact, it’s a quiet return to the steady foundations of movement and mindfulness.
The best part? It’s perfect for all ages and fitness stages; all you need is the willingness to try. Classes are live at the pop-up space already, and booking your spot now is the first step!
The Method of returning to your roots
Currently a pop-up at The Royal Stables, The Method Studio offers Classical Pilates and Ashtanga Yoga. Both practices are deeply rooted in precision, tradition, and the balance between strength and stillness.
“Classical Pilates is about structure,” Maha says. “It’s not just a workout; it’s a way to connect with your body on a deeper level.”

The practice follows the original teachings of Joseph Pilates, emphasising deliberate, controlled, and restorative movements. “You don’t come here to lose weight in a week,” she adds. “You come here to listen to yourself, to build balance, and to strengthen from within.”
The same philosophy underpins the Ashtanga Yoga classes, which are impressively guided by a KPJAYI-authorized Level 2 Ashtanga Instructor, the only one of its kind in Abu Dhabi.

“Ashtanga is for those who want to explore discipline through breath and sequence,” she says. “It might seem demanding at first, yes, but it’s also incredibly grounding.”
What sets The Method Studio apart is that it’s the only space in Abu Dhabi to offer both Classical Pilates and Ashtanga Yoga under one roof.
“They complement each other in a way that they both give you the same sort of discipline and structure,” Maha explains.
The studio offers both group and individual classes, as well as single sessions for those who prefer flexibility. In the true spirit of building a mindful community, Maha also emphasises how the studio will never turn anyone away.
The schedule of classes available on a daily basis differs; however, you could batch buy some class options that are valid for 14 days, including –
- Discover Yoga
3 Classes – AED 53/per class
- Discover Pilates
3 Classes – AED 99/per class
- Discover Private
Single Class – AED 240
“If the timings we offer are not working out for some people, or if their current wellness journey isn’t working out – it’s our job to find a way to make it work,” she says, adding, “Some people come to find peace, others come to reconnect with themselves after burnout or stress. Whatever the reason, they leave calmer and far more in tune with their bodies.”
Beyond the mat
While the pop-up has already built a small but loyal community, Maha’s vision for the future goes far beyond the current offering. The Method Studio will soon relocate to a permanent space in Al Bateen, where it plans to expand its philosophy to include health coaching, offering holistic guidance.

“I want this to be a wellness institution, not just a studio,” Maha says. “Eventually, I want to train healthcare professionals who are looking to enter or grow in this space. It’s about building something lasting, something that contributes to the community.”
Her voice softens as she reflects on what the studio represents. “This is about returning to stillness, to self-awareness,” she says. “The world doesn’t need more trends; it needs more truth. The Method is about that truth.”
In an age where wellness is often fleeting, The Method Studio is here to offer something timeless. It’s about connecting your mind and body to move intentionally, about wellness that runs deeper than the skin.
And as Maha puts it, this isn’t a passing phase. It’s a return.
