The Abu Dhabi events calendar is back with another highly anticipated winter festival – the Mother of the Nation Festival, or MOTN, as it’s better known.
Returning once more to spread cheer this winter, you can count on the festival to set up lively, vibrant and extremely fun spaces across different parts of Abu Dhabi. As always, this year too, you can find the festival across the main city, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, promising weeks of fun for the whole family.
When is the Mother of the Nation Festival (MOTN)?
While most details (including location) are still under wraps, the dates for Mother of the Nation Festival have been officially confirmed!

You can catch the festivities in Al Dhafra and Al Ain from 28 November to 4 January. This means the festival will move closer to the city only from 10 December, going on until 4 January 2026 as well.
In previous editions, the festival within the city has generally been held by the Abu Dhabi Corniche, so get ready to bump into a lot of excitement by the promenade come December!
What can we expect at the festival?
As always, festival highlights include
- Interactive museums
- Live shows
- Immersive experiences
- Food trucks
There’s also a special New Year’s Eve celebration that’s open to all ages, which usually culminates in witnessing the spectacular fireworks by the waterfront.
