While Monday saw the screening of Moral Frictions by Triplets on Set and About Dry Grasses, Tuesday showcases Hidden Truths, curated by Arab Film Studio.
On Wednesday, CineMAS screened Earth, Unmuted, from The Climate Tribe, as well as Invisible Demons and the award-winning film Honeyland.
The theme for Thursday is roots, featuring Ancestral Echoes bringing Rituals: Memories of a Wedding and The Way of Our Ancestors.
It’s all things deep emotions on Friday with Pressure Point, curated by Like Minds. You can also check out Saudi noir, Mandoob, or even Be Kind, Rewind.
Saturday will see Double Lives, a gritty movie focusing on crime, corruption and loyalties.
And the big festival closes with something closer to home, i.e, Futures on Hold from NYUAD. Gear up for three Arab films, namely Mahdi Fleifel’s To A Land Unknown, Laila Abbas’s Thank You for Banking with Us and Scandar Copti’s Happy Holidays.
Apart from the screenings, CineMAS 2025 also has some amazing events ongoing, such as DINE W/ME, Creative Circle and Like Minds Gatherings, so head to Manarat Al Saadiyat right away!
