Keeping children entertained through the long summer holidays does not always have to mean booking another big day out.
This August, Abu Dhabi City Municipality is taking a different approach, bringing a programme of activities directly into neighbourhoods with its new ‘Summer with Us’ initiative.
A Summer Programme for the Community
This inspirational initiative is a community-focused programme that brings together entertainment, learning, and fun activities for children, offering something for everyone.
Across the programme, visitors can take part in competitions and interactive experiences, whilst health screenings and educational sessions will add a slightly more informative element to the festivities.
The programme shines a light on the municipality’s services, including its beach facilities for People of Determination and senior citizens, making it more than simply a collection of summer activities, but creating awareness for all generations.
Where Can You Find ‘Summer with Us’?
‘Summer with Us’ is popping up at four locations across Abu Dhabi during August, making it easier for residents in different parts of the city to join in.
The programme began at Al Falah Plaza, before moving to Rabdan Park from 6 – 9 August. It will then head to the famous Corniche from 13 – 16 August, with the final stop at Al Shamkhah Plaza from 20 – 23 August.
The good news is that the activities are free to attend, giving families another budget-friendly option for filling the summer calendar.
There is no need to travel far across the emirate or commit to an expensive day out, as ‘Summer with Us’ is bringing activities into local community spaces, with summer entertainment closer than expected.
