Abu Dhabi Makes History with Largest Recycled Bottle Cap Mosaic Guinness World Record

In a colourful blend of creativity and environmental action, Tadweer Group and Umm Al Emarat Park have teamed up to officially set a Guinness World Record for the largest ever recycled bottle cap mosaic, with the achievement being nothing short of astonishing and inspiring.

Visitors were welcomed to Umm Al Emarat Park on the 8th of December and invited to take part in something truly special. Over the course of five days, families, friends, and environmental enthusiasts worked together to build a 25-square-meter mosaic entirely from recycled plastic bottle caps.

In total, the artwork used over 24,000 bottle caps, transforming small everyday items into a highly impressive masterpiece.

Community Comes Together at Umm Al Emarat Park

Members of the public became a team by sticking the bottle caps onto the design, making the experience hands-on, fun, and educational for everyone.

This artistic record attempt was part of the engaging “Cap Your Way to Sustainability” campaign, which is a broader initiative launched earlier in the year to encourage schools, families, and community groups to collect and donate bottle caps.

This was part of a larger mission to spread awareness about recycling and waste reduction in the emirate.

For many who were either involved or visited, the mosaic was more than a piece of artwork. It served as a vibrant reminder that every piece of waste has value and that members of the public working together can turn a simple plastic cap into a record-breaking piece of magic.

Tadweer Group’s Role in Promoting Sustainability

Tadweer Group’s involvement reflects its wider drive to shift public perspectives on waste and to champion sustainable practices throughout Abu Dhabi and beyond.

It was communicated by representatives of Tadweer Group Umm Al Emarat Park that the initiative was designed not just to set a world record but to bring people together, strengthen bonds, and celebrate shared commitment to a greener future.

The record-setting mosaic was a visible testament to those messages, also showing a powerful illustration of community effort in action.

This has now officially earned its spot in the Guinness World Records for being the largest mosaic of its kind made from recycled bottle caps.

Conclusion

Whether you added just one cap, thousands of caps, or supported this incredible event, the project proves that when a community comes together with purpose and creativity, even the smallest pieces can make a big difference!
