Inspired by the UAE’s rich culinary traditions and natural ingredients, Amira has built a business that turns cherished Emirati flavours into handcrafted frozen treats, creating an experience that’s as much about storytelling as it is dessert.
Through Ice Station, she is introducing customers to the tastes of the Emirates in an entirely new way, while encouraging younger generations to reconnect with the country’s heritage through food.

Amira’s passion for ice cream grew while studying the craft professionally in Kuwait, where she gained a behind-the-scenes understanding of how many commercial products are made.
Wanting to offer something different, she returned to the capital with a vision to produce ice cream using natural ingredients wherever possible, without relying on artificial colourings or excessive refined sugars, which are seen as key components for a tasty product.
Instead, many of Ice Station’s creations draw their flavour and colour from real fruits and locally inspired ingredients. The result is a menu that stays true to nature while offering a fresh and delicious take on traditional desserts.
Celebrating Emirati Flavours in a Modern Way
Influenced by beloved Emirati dishes, Ice Station’s menu is rooted in the country’s identity, with flavours inspired by ingredients such as dates, roasted date seeds, and palm pollen.
For Amira, every flavour serves a greater purpose. By transforming familiar recipes into something fun and approachable, she hopes to spark curiosity about local traditions among all ages and ensure that elements of Emirati food culture continue to be appreciated.
