Abu Dhabi Culture Pavilion at Abu Dhabi Summer Sports Brings UAE Heritage Alive

Abu Dhabi Summer Sports is not just about fitness this season. The Abu Dhabi Culture Pavilion is bringing a dose of UAE heritage to ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, with a free family-friendly programme designed to keep visitors of all ages engaged.

Running until Sunday, August 23, the pavilion offers families the chance to step away from the courts and explore Emirati traditions through hands-on workshops, live demonstrations and interactive cultural activities.

Created as a welcoming community space, the programme is especially suited to children and families, offering a relaxed way to connect with the UAE’s heritage, values and traditions during the summer months.

The line-up includes traditional Emirati games, falconry demonstrations, heritage crafts, Bait Al Gahwa rituals, which celebrate the traditional Arabic coffee ceremony, and live performances.

Museums and libraries across Abu Dhabi will also play a key role in the programme, with a range of hands-on activities created especially for children. Families can expect interactive workshops, storytelling sessions and experiences that combine learning with entertainment.

Several heritage-led activities have also been designed to introduce younger generations to the UAE’s customs, traditions and values in a simple and engaging way.

All activities at the Abu Dhabi Culture Pavilion are free to attend, making it a welcome addition to Abu Dhabi’s summer calendar for families. Visitors can combine the cultural programme with the wider sports and fitness activities taking place at Abu Dhabi Summer Sports.

Registration is required before attending. For more information and registration, visit www.adsummersports.ae
