The Weekend Club by SECRET is a new staycation concept bringing elevated, curated experiences together across the United Arab Emirates. Designed for guests looking for more than a traditional hotel stay, it blends dining, wellness, social moments and weekend entertainment into one curated escape.
The first Weekend Club by SECRET took place at InterContinental Abu Dhabi, welcoming a sold-out crowd for a vibrant weekend of connection, relaxation and discovery. Hosted over the first weekend of May, the launch gave guests a full city staycation experience at one of Abu Dhabi’s most established hotels.
From complimentary massages and grooming treatments to yoga, HIIT sessions and standout dining, the weekend delivered a fresh take on the Abu Dhabi staycation. With more editions set to take place across the country, The Weekend Club by SECRET is shaping up to be one of the UAE’s most exciting new weekend experiences.
Welcome to the Club
Guests arrived at the Club Lounge on Saturday morning, where an elevated welcome experience set the tone from the start.
A glass of bubbles on arrival and a quick icebreaker brought an instant lift, easing everyone into the weekend. Branded Weekend Club merchandise added a playful touch, while classic water pong turned the first moments of the staycation into something far more interactive.
Supplied by MAGIC MOMENTS 360 DXB, guests also had the chance to test their reactions with the drop stick challenge, while the selfie mirror captured the first snaps of the weekend.
Easing Into the Weekend
The morning moved into a slower rhythm, with a dedicated wellness and grooming line-up helping guests properly settle in.
Head-and-shoulder massages offered a welcome pause, giving everyone a chance to shake off the week and ease into the day.
From there, guests made their way to Cayenne Beauty Salon on the ground floor, where blow dries, manicures, haircuts and beard trims were available throughout the morning.
It gave guests a chance to freshen up before the pace picked up later in the afternoon, keeping the experience easy, polished, and all within the hotel.
Brunch Done Right
Chamas Churrascaria & Bar hosted the weekend’s brunch, bringing its well-established reputation for lively dining to the experience.
Guests enjoyed a generous spread of international dishes, with Chamas’ signature grilled cuts at the heart of the menu.
The selection was paired with a range of beverages, including the venue’s handcrafted caipirinhas.
The dessert table added a fun final touch, with mini pastries and breakable chocolate bars for those with a sweet tooth.
A live musician brought extra energy to the room, and before long, guests were on their feet, moving to the Brazilian rhythm.
The After-Party
The energy carried through into the evening, as Chamas Bar hosted an after party that rounded off the day on a high. As guests filtered in, the DJ set the pace, with crafted beverages and a lively crowd keeping the momentum going.
By the end of the night, guests returned to their rooms with another full day still ahead.
Yoga and HIIT to Start the Day
Sunday began on a more active note, with yoga and HIIT sessions led by dedicated trainers from Quwa Wellness. Guests were guided through each session, offering a reset after the previous day’s pace.
This was followed by an all-day breakfast at Selections Restaurant, where live cooking stations served up classic morning favourites alongside fresh coffee and juices. Breakfast hours were extended until 330pm, ensuring guests who wanted a slow morning could truly relax.
With the sun out and the pool at an ideal temperature, the afternoon moved to Bayshore Beach Club, where a DJ set the tone as guests settled into a more laid-back close to the weekend.
No Sunday Without a Roast
Before checking out, the weekend wrapped up with a classic Sunday roast at Belgian Café Abu Dhabi.
Guests chose between chicken, lamb or beef, served with all the traditional trimmings. It was a familiar, comforting way to slow things down and round off the weekend.
