A unique musical experience is arriving in the capital this April, as the UAE National Orchestra unveils a new concert programme celebrating the soundtracks of Emirati television and film.
Set to take place on the 16th of April at the Cultural Foundation, the performance brings decades of storytelling to life through a full symphonic interpretation.
Titled From Screen to Stage, the programme explores how music has helped shape some of the UAE’s most memorable on-screen moments.

From Early Classics to Modern Cinema
Spanning more than 40 years of production, the concert draws from a wide range of iconic works that have defined Emirati entertainment.
Audiences can expect to hear music from early series such as Ishhafan and Al Ghous, as well as Aber Sabeel, which is regarded as the country’s first feature film.
The programme also includes pieces from Freej, the region’s pioneering 3D animated series, alongside more recent titles like Khiyanat Watan and The Ambush.
Together, they showcase the diversity and evolution of storytelling across generations.
A Fresh Symphonic Perspective
Performed by a full orchestra and choir, the music has been reworked into layered arrangements that enhance each composition.
Structured as a sequence of medleys, the concert flows through different eras, connecting themes and styles in a seamless musical journey.
Emirati actor and creative Yaser Al Neyadi will also appear throughout the evening, offering context and commentary that links the music to the cultural moments in which it was created.
Celebrating Voices Behind the Music
The performance also pays tribute to the composers whose work has shaped the sound of Emirati screen productions.
Names such as Eid Alfaraj, Ibrahim Juma and Fayez Alsaeed are recognised for their lasting influence.
Bringing together audiences, artists, and industry figures, this Abu Dhabi concert offers more than just music; it’s a reflection on shared cultural memories.
