Eid Al Fitr 2026 in Abu Dhabi This Weekend

Eid Al Fitr in Abu Dhabi always brings a shift in pace. While celebrations may feel a little different this year, the spirit of Eid remains centred around connection, culture and shared moments across the city.

From waterfront gatherings to cultural experiences and live performances, there are still plenty of ways to mark the long weekend. Here’s a roundup of Eid celebrations taking place across Abu Dhabi.

Marsana Hudayriyat

If you’re looking for something relaxed and family-friendly by the sea, Marsana on Hudayriat Island is hosting a lively Eid celebration on the green lawn. Taking place on the second day of Eid, Saturday from 4pm to 9pm, the event features a mix of activities for all ages.

Expect a games corner, creativity workshops, roaming mascots and a dedicated sweets corner, alongside live music and a jewellery pop-up. There’s also a Marsana Event Passport, a prize corner, and Eid al-Fitr gifts, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Yas Bay Waterfront

Yas Bay is marking Eid across the full weekend from Friday to Sunday, with daily celebrations running from 3 pm to 9 pm. Cultural performances will take centre stage, including traditional Ayala dances, drummers and regional performances that bring a strong sense of heritage to the waterfront.

Visitors can also enjoy henna artistry and take home personalised calligraphy souvenirs. For families, Pixie Play Zone will keep little ones entertained, making this a strong option if you’re heading out with kids.

Qasr Al Hosn

For something more rooted in tradition, Qasr Al Hosn is hosting a curated Eid experience inspired by Emirati heritage. Visitors can create their own Fuwala Al Eid basket, selecting from fruits and traditional sweets inspired by how Eid was once celebrated within the historic site.

Each basket is wrapped in a special Eid scarf, making it a meaningful keepsake or gift. Ayala performances and Eidiya giveaways add to the experience. Timings: First day of Eid, Friday, 4 pm to 10 pm; Second and third days, 9 am to 8 pm.

Corniche Light and Laser Show

Across the weekend, the Corniche will light up with a series of laser and light shows running from sunset through to midnight, from Friday to Sunday. It’s one of the more visual ways to experience Eid in the city, with the skyline and waterfront adding to the atmosphere.

Eid Concerts

For those looking to mark Eid with live music, Space 42 Arena is hosting two performances over the weekend. On Saturday, March 21, Hussain Al Jassmi will take to the stage, known for his emotive Khaleeji and Arabic pop sound.

On Sunday, March 22, Ahmed Saad will perform, blending modern Arabic pop with shaabi influences for a more upbeat feel. Both concerts begin at 9 pm.

However you choose to spend it, Eid in Abu Dhabi continues to offer moments to step out, slow down and reconnect. Across the city, there’s a sense of tradition and togetherness that still carries through, in its own way.
