If Blackpink’s one of your top artists, or you’re just looking to try something new – this K-Pop workshop in Abu Dhabi is just what you need!
Spicing up summer until 22 August, Dee Studio is all set to host a K-pop academy that they’re calling Kpop Academy X DIMA Dream School. The event is the brainchild of the beloved Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) and South Korea’s Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA).
And if you don’t know what DIMA is, they’re the same people who made the artists that later went on to join SEVENTEEN, ZEROBASEONE and Kwon Eunbi.
The workshop is free, of course, making it all the more enticing. It’s open to all women aged 14 and above, although there is a caveat. You’re advised to register only if you can attend all sessions or risk eligibility for future KCC courses.
So what can you expect from the workshops?
The entire works, as it were, for the full K-Pop trainee treatment!
Led by actual professors and student artists from DIMA, with sessions in dance, vocals and even video production. The routines on the agenda include BTS’ I Need You, BLACKPINK’s Jump and NewJeans’ Super Shy, songs from K-Pop Demon Hunters, etc.

Sessions will focus on performance and video production – perfect for mini-idols-in-training who want to get behind the camera too.
Apart from being an absolute dream come true for UAE’s K-Pop fanbase, this marks DIMA’s first official visit to the UAE capital. And honestly? It’s about time. With K-Pop’s growing grip on the region, this workshop is a major moment for the Hallyu wave in the Middle East.
